I Am The Vine
What does it truly mean to bear fruit? This week's message is drawn from John 15, we are invited to examine our lives through the lens of the vine and the branches. Jesus declares himself the true vine, a statement that carries far more weight than it might first appear. In the ancient world, the vine was the defining symbol of Israel, etched into the very gates of the temple. When Jesus claims that title for himself, he is making a bold and transformative declaration about where true spiritual life actually comes from. We are the branches, and our fruitfulness is not something we manufacture on our own. It flows directly from our connection to him. The deeper we remain in that connection, the more the life of Christ moves through us and produces something real, something lasting. This message challenges us to ask honestly whether the fruit visible in our daily lives, in our homes, in our marriages, in our relationships, reflects the character of the one we say we are connected to.
